Congratulations to our friends at Brubaker Farms! They won the Center for Advanced Energy Studies/Idaho National Laboratory Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Energy.”

In 2007, NativeEnergy's customers helped the Pennsylvania farm install a greenhouse gas-reducing manure digester. This digester processes manure from the farm and converts the waste to power. This produces more than enough energy for the farm. The extra energy is sold to a local utility, which helps to power about 200 nearby homes. And the Brubakers haven't stopped there—the farm generates additional power with solar panels and uses no-till farming practices.

Brubaker Farms has won several awards for environmental excellence, most recently the “2011 Innovative Dairy Farmers of the Year” award from the International Dairy Foods Association and Dairy Today magazine. Their commitment to the environment deserves recognition. Congratulations to Brubaker Farms!
