Our mission is to engage the power of music in the fight against global warming. We’ve
seen music fight against war and against discrimination. We’ve
seen it free peoples and feed the hungry. Now it’s time
for music to help us face the threat that trumps all others –
worldwide environmental, social and economic upheaval from global
warming and climate change. Planes,
trucks, cars – even electric guitars – all contribute
to global warming! MusicMatters® CoolToursm makes it easy for you and your band to do the right thing and join the fight against global warming. We offer performing artists an easy and inexpensive way to manage carbon dioxide pollution from touring. We’ll help you calculate your tour’s carbon dioxide “footprint” and then we’ll erase it with 100% wind-generated electricity. You’ll help build a new wind farm that will keep as much carbon dioxide pollution out of the air for you as your tour puts in, by reducing our consumption of fossil fuels to make electricity. Join other CoolToursm bands and make your music matter! Think
of it like planting trees for their carbon dioxide benefits. With
MusicMatters® CoolToursm, Until more fuel efficient and renewable powered venues become available, the only way to address the carbon dioxide pollution that a tour generates is to take action to reduce carbon dioxide pollution some other way. It’s all about balance – recognizing your impact and making up for it. By taking action to make up for your tour’s carbon dioxide pollution, you’ll end up having the same effect on global warming as if you powered your tour with the wind! What's Your Carbon Dioxide Footprint? Simply let us know the answers to the following and we’ll tell you how much carbon dioxide your tour will generate. Then we’ll calculate your carbon dioxide offsets.
Planting
trees removes carbon dioxide from the air, but trees don’t
solve the real problem because they don’t reduce our use
of fossil fuels. Wind turbines help reduce our use of and dependency
on fossil fuels, and help transition us to a renewable energy
economy Find out how you can help make a world of difference, call MusicMatters at 612-377-1142, or email info@musicmatters.net
