If you have browsed our website recently, you may have seen the smiling faces of Ruth and Ken Benjegerdes. These family farmers are involved with the Iowa Farms Wind Project, our new Help Build™ project featuring two wind turbines in northern Iowa.

In a region already dotted by wind turbines, the Iowa Farms Wind Project further bolsters the local economy, provides necessary income for farmers, and expands the country’s production of clean renewable energy. The project will reduce approximately 8,165 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions each year, equivalent to the annual emissions from 680 typical households.

Eileen Fisher, Aveda, Reverb, and Clark Transfer have already stepped up to help build the project. But we need your support too. By purchasing NativeEnergy carbon offsets, you will help Ken, Ruth, and other family farmers bring two 1.6 MW wind turbines online in this Iowa community.
