On The Map Travel is a boutique worldwide trip operator that was formed to provide individuals and groups with interesting and imaginative travel. Owned and operated by women, On The Map Travel has more than 20 years experience sending travelers all over the world. We are dedicated, passionate, enthusiastic and professional. Most of all, we are travelers ourselves.
For years we've told our travelers "take only photos, leave only footprints." But now we'd like to amend that suggestion. Here's our new axiom:
"Take only photos, leave only footprints - but not when they're carbon emission footprints!"
Along with our commitment to sending people on wonderful adventures around the world comes another commitment: to do our part to help solve the global warming crisis our world is facing. We believe that traveling to the ends of the earth does not have to add to the global warming problem.
We are very proud to announce our innovative partnership with NativeEnergy Travel Offsets, an organization dedicated to fighting global warming through the support of Native American, farmer-owned, charitable-purpose renewable energy projects that create social, economic and environmental benefits. On The Map Travel is the first travel agency in the country to give travelers the gift of carbon offset credits as a "thank you" for traveling with our company. We also encourage our travelers to use the carbon calculator to offset even more of their air/land transportation carbon "footprints." It's easy to do and surprisingly inexpensive. It's also a way you can make a real difference and feel good about how you travel.
It's important for us to do our part to preserve this amazing earth for our children (we have 5) and our grandchildren (we have 2) - and the families of our travelers as well. We hope all our travelers will join us in this crucial fight against global warming.
