Out of the office for Earth Day

On Friday, April 22, several NativeEnergy employees marched into the office wearing jeans and work boots. It’s not that we were trying to manifest an early weekend; actually, we were prepared for an afternoon of volunteering at the Intervale Center.

The Intervale Center is a Vermont-based nonprofit that supports local, sustainable agriculture. The “Intervale,” not far from downtown Burlington, consists of 350 acres of fertile land along the Winooski River. Back in the day, it was a polluted and abandoned area, but thanks to the Intervale Center, it is now a thriving organic farming community. In the winter, the Intervale even becomes groomed XC ski trails!

The Burlington area is blessed to have this agricultural resource, and we felt pretty blessed to help out on a sunny spring afternoon.
