Congratulations to our friends at Enerdyne Power Systems! They have been named “Industry Partner of the Year” by the U.S. EPA’s Landfill Methane Outreach Project.

In 2011, we worked closely with the staff at Enerdyne on two landfill gas projects developed by them. Through our Help Build™ carbon offsets, NativeEnergy customers funded most of capital cost of the Wewoka Biogas Project, and in October, NativeEnergy and Enerdyne co-hosted a project dedication in Oklahoma. We are also the exclusive carbon offset seller for the Bi-County Municipal Landfill Project, located in Woodlawn, Tennessee, which began operating in August.

According to the EPA announcement, Enerdyne has developed three electric projects, one direct-use project, and one flare-only project in the past year. In total, the company now operates landfill gas projects spanning eight states and generating nearly 8 MW.

We commend Enerdyne for their industry leadership and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.
